If you are having trouble with your telephone line you may call repair service by dialing 611 (from a 363 exchange line) or 363-6277. When reporting an outage or problem please be sure to include your name, phone number, street address and a brief explanation of the problem. We do have an after-hours answering service for trouble reports. After hours calls should be limited to emergency problems, please.
You may save service call charges and a trip to your house by a technician if you can determine if the problem is inside your home or outside in the company's lines. To do this you will need to have a telephone that you know is in good working order and you will need to check your service at the Network Interface Device located outside your house (usually near the power meter). Below is a picture of a standard Network Interface Device (NID). The actual NID on your house may be slightly different. You will notice inside the red oval the words, "Customer Access". An arrow next to it shows where you will go to gain access to the customer portion of the NID.
