New Hope Telephone Cooperative provides local telephone service to residents in the Northeastern portion of Augusta County, Virginia. We serve an area of approximately 36 square miles with just under 1000 access lines. Our switching facility is a Siemens DCO-SE digital switch that was installed in 1989. The "modular" design of the switch has allowed us to make many add-ons and updates throughout the years. In fact as of November 2003 we are at the latest Software Release that is available. The Cooperative is run by a Board of Directors, elected by the subscribers. Our Board is made up of nine members who must be subscribers of the Cooperative. From this Board, a President and Vice-President are elected. The Cooperative currently has five full-time employees, consisting of:  General Manager, Office Manager, Plant Manager and two multi-functional employees.
